更新日: 2026-09-02 / 最終確認日: 2026-09-02

Overseas owners of Japanese rental property need a management structure covering tenant placement, rent collection, repairs, condominium-association matters, tax handling and overseas remittance.

Management agreement

Define leasing, screening, renewals, termination, repair-approval thresholds, emergencies, monthly reporting and remittance procedures.

Non-resident tax

Rent paid for Japanese real estate to a non-resident may be subject to Japanese withholding depending on the payer and use. Check current NTA rules and any applicable tax treaty.
